Fiesta Fields, Bocketts Farm
Fiesta Fields at Bocketts Farm is unlike any other wedding venue I've filmed at in Surrey, and that's entirely the point. Set within open countryside with a festival-inspired layout, rustic details and an inflatable slide in the background of the group shots, it's a venue that gives couples full permission to do their wedding their way, and as a videographer that energy is genuinely infectious to work with.
The day I filmed there had a looseness and joy to it that more formal venues can struggle to replicate. Guests were relaxed from the start, the couple were completely themselves, and the whole day felt like a celebration rather than a schedule. That kind of atmosphere translates directly into the final film, and the footage from Fiesta Fields is some of the most natural and joyful I've produced.
The golden hour portraits out in the tall grass fields as the sun dropped behind the Surrey countryside were a particular highlight. That quality of light, the couple together in a field of gold with hay bales and trees in the distance, it's the kind of shot that doesn't need any dressing up. The setting does everything.
The ceremony at Fiesta Fields sets the tone immediately. Held outdoors with the surrounding fields and striped marquee tents as the backdrop, it feels personal and unscripted in a way that a traditional indoor ceremony rarely does. Guests are relaxed, the couple are at ease, and the whole thing has a warmth and informality that comes through clearly on camera.
After the ceremony the day opens right up into something closer to a festival than a wedding reception, and that's a genuine compliment. Guests spread across the space naturally, the atmosphere is sociable and free-moving, and there's a spontaneity to the moments that makes for endlessly interesting footage. The groomsmen lifting each other, guests in their best outfits with a bouncy slide in the background, couples by the water it all adds up to an edit full of character and genuine joy.
The golden hour is where the day peaks on film. Getting the couple out into the tall grass fields as the light drops is one of those moments where everything comes together effortlessly. Warm, cinematic, intimate the footage from that part of the day is consistently among the most beautiful I capture at any venue across Surrey.
As evening draws in, the marquee atmosphere shifts into something warmer and more celebratory. String lights, music, the energy of guests who've had a genuinely brilliant day it all comes together in a way that rounds the film off perfectly.
